In accordance with preparations for the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), the Arab Women Organization is holding, remotely via the ZOOM application, a training workshop
on
"Transformation Towards Green Economyand Climate Challenges"
from 30/10/2023 to 2/11/2023
The workshop aims to empower rural women entrepreneurs and provide them with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and apply the concept of green economy, address climate challenges in rural areas, promote environmental and economic sustainability in these areas as well as highlight awareness of the importance of sustainable waste management in rural communities.
Trainees from different Arab countries from Jordan, Morocco, Oman, Egypt, Lebanon, Algeria and Iraq will participate in the workshop.
Trainers in the workshop are; Mrs. Natalie Zaarour, expert in disaster risk reduction, environment and gender, Dr. Fatiha Quroosh, an expert in gender and green economy and Dr. Haifa Yassin, an expert in Agricultural Economics.
